Homemade Hoisin Sauce

Don’t you just hate it when you are all set to cook something that you had been planning for a while only to find one of the main ingredients is missing??

So annoying!!!!

Of course I could cook something else but I am a bit stubborn like that and I had all the ingredients to make it, well most of them but I like to improvise a bit.

Simply whisk to mix well:

4tbsp soy sauce
2tbsp smooth peanut butter
1tbsp palm sugar
2tsp rice vinegar
2 crushed garlic cloves
2tsp sesame seed oil
1tsp chinese hot sauce to taste
Ground black pepper

I didn’t have any chinese hot sauce so I used “Holy Cow’ hot garlic sauce and it seems to work ok!!
